Join us at Golborne Scouts & Guides Hall HQ from Saturday 9th October to Sunday 10th October 2010, as we once again invite you to our annual fundraising event in aid of Breast Cancer Research!
Sadly, one in nine women will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives - However, research is beating breast cancer. Cancer Research UK is the largest single funder of breast cancer research in the UK. They are making fantastic progress, but they can't do it without our help.
‘Join the fight for women's survival’ is Cancer Research UK's breast cancer awareness campaign that not only aims to help women stay breast aware and understand the risks of breast cancer, but also to bring together thousands of supporters to raise money to beat breast cancer.
We want to inspire you to both CREATE and DONATE, and are already in discussions with guest designers to put together a timetable of classes and challenges– if you have any specific requests or ideas for makes or techniques you’d like to see, email Pink Marigold and make yourself heard!
But first... You need to book your place, and we have two options available:
1. Pull an all-nighter! Join us from 11am Saturday until 11am Sunday, for a full 24 hours of fundraising fun for only £25.00- just don’t forget your sleeping bag, PJs and slippers!
2. Make a day of it! For those who aren’t able to join us for the full event, we can offer a day rate of just £15.00, meaning you can take part in the activities before leaving at 7pm for your own bed!
Places are on a first-come, first-served basis, and strictly limited in number, so book yours now by paying just £10 (non-refundable) deposit by 12th June in one of three ways:
by PAYPAL GIFT to PinkMarigold1@hotmail.co.uk; CASH in person at the Golborne Monthly Crop; or CHEQUE (PM Allyj50 for snail mail address details).
Then, simply email PinkMarigold1@hotmail.com specifying reference PB52010, your name, UKS username if applicable, and whether you want to opt for the day rate only (up to 7pm) or the full 24-hour option (go on, you know you want to!)
A few items of note... In a break from our normal monthly family friendly policy, for this one off event we are unfortunately unable to accommodate children or pets; All correspondence must be via email to PinkMarigold1@hotmail.com; Doors will open from 10 am to allow you to shop, chat and be ready to scrap at 11 am; Balance to be paid by 11th September 2010 in the ways outlined above; Deposits are non-refundable (well, it IS for charity!), and in case of cancellations the balance will ONLY be refunded upon your place being filled; Cancer Research UK is a registered charity No.1089464.
